Write to the email above with any question about your data or to use any of your rights.
2. What data we collect
We only collect what you give us, plus basic technical data your browser sends.
| Data | When we collect it |
|---|---|
| First name and email address | When you sign up for updates, the Bastian app waitlist or any other form |
| Your consent to receive emails | When you tick the consent box on a form |
| Which list or interest you signed up for (for example "Bastian app waitlist" or "All product interest") | Added automatically when you submit a form |
| Whether you open our emails and click links | When you receive our emails |
| The content of your message | When you email us |
| Technical data: IP address, browser, device, pages visited | When you visit the websites |
Our forms only ask for your name and email. Please don't send us medical details about you or your child. We can't give advice on individual cases, and we'd rather not store sensitive health information. We do not collect payment details. If you buy a book, that happens on Amazon or another retailer under their own privacy policy.
3. Why we use your data and our legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Sending the newsletter, updates and launch news you signed up for (including the Bastian app waitlist) | Your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) |
| Answering your emails and questions | Our legitimate interest in replying to you, Art. 6(1)(f) |
| Running, securing and improving the websites | Our legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) |
| Keeping records we must keep by law (for example bookkeeping) | Legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c) |
You can withdraw your consent at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email, or by writing to us. Withdrawing does not affect emails already sent. We never sell your data, and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.
4. Who we share your data with
We share your data only with service providers who help us run the websites and emails. They act on our instructions under a data processing agreement.
| Provider | What they do | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Systeme.io | Hosts the websites, forms and email list, and sends our emails | EU (France) |
| Google (Gmail) | Handles email you send to sofieberga@gmail.com | May include servers outside the EU |
| GoDaddy | Manages our domain names and redirects visitors to our websites | USA |
When data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, the provider relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Our pages link to Amazon, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. When you follow those links, those companies' own privacy policies apply.
5. Cookies
The websites use cookies that are needed for them to work, such as remembering form entries and keeping the site secure. These are set by Systeme.io. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics or advertising cookies later, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
6. How long we keep your data

- Emails you send us: up to 2 years after our last contact, unless needed longer.
- Bookkeeping records: 5 years, as required by the Danish Bookkeeping Act.
7. Children
Our books and the Bastian app are made for children, but our forms and emails are for parents and other adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 15. If you think a child has given us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
